An AI development team that shares your UK day.

Bvyte, a studio in Ahmedabad, gives UK companies a senior AI and software team whose working day covers your morning and early afternoon. We write in UK English, design with UK GDPR in mind and prepare for the scrutiny that FCA-regulated and health sector buyers apply.

Start a project

Close enough for a real working day

A gap of four and a half to five and a half hours is short by offshore standards. Your 9:30 stand-up lands in our mid-afternoon, a noon design review falls in our late afternoon, and nothing waits overnight for an answer. An engagement can feel like a team two floors away, provided the data protection and contract questions are handled properly. That is where we begin.

Overview

Questions UK buyers should ask an offshore AI partner

A UK organisation hiring an AI partner abroad usually asks the same short list of questions: when will they be reachable, where will our data go, and what will our regulator or auditor ask to see. The first has a pleasant answer, since four and a half to five and a half hours is a small gap. The other two are about paperwork and design, and they are easier to settle before a project than after.

We start with a data protection review alongside the scope. That covers which personal data is involved, who is the controller and who the processor, where processing will happen, and how transfers to India are covered contractually. For regulated and health sector work we add documentation that supports your own outsourcing, clinical safety and security reviews. We are a supplier to those processes, never a substitute for them, and we say so in the proposal.

What we build

AI and software work we do for UK organisations

The scope matches what we do elsewhere. What is particular to the UK is how data, language and regulators are handled around it.

  1. 01

    UK GDPR aware design

Data flow maps, minimisation and retention rules, and the contractual route for transfers to India, such as the ICO's international data transfer agreement or the UK Addendum, prepared for your DPO and counsel to review.

  2. 02

    Assistants for customer operations

Support agents that answer in UK English, follow your complaints and vulnerable customer procedures and hand over with the whole thread. See AI chatbot development.

  3. 03

    Document AI for financial services

Onboarding files, policy documents, claims and correspondence read, checked against rules and logged for review. See document AI and automation.

  4. 04

    Explainable decision support

Systems that show their sources and reasons, so a person can review any outcome that affects an individual and a record shows who decided.

  5. 05

    Product engineering for scale-ups

AI features and complete products built in your repositories with weekly releases. See custom software and SaaS.

  6. 06

    Governance notes for risk committees

Short, plain documents describing what each AI system does, the data it uses, how it was tested and where its limits lie, written for auditors and boards.

    Build in your hours

Daily contact across the shared window and a weekly demo, judged against the measure agreed at the start.

    Weeks 2 to 12

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Ask us directly, a senior engineer replies within one business day.

How much of the UK working day do you cover?

India is 4.5 hours ahead of the UK in summer time and 5.5 hours ahead in winter. A 9:00 start in the UK is 13:30 or 14:30 in Ahmedabad, so engineers are at their desks for your whole morning and early afternoon. Work done before your day begins is waiting for you when you start. We agree exact hours at kickoff.

How do you approach UK GDPR on AI projects?

UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 govern personal data of people in the UK. We design with them in mind: minimise personal data, define purpose and retention, record where data flows and support a data protection impact assessment where processing is high risk. Whether and how they apply to your project is a question for your counsel and DPO. Our guide on UK GDPR and AI sets out what to plan.

Can personal data be handled by a team in India?

Transfers of UK personal data to India need a recognised transfer mechanism and an assessment of the risks. Many projects avoid the question by keeping data in a UK or EU region in your cloud account, limiting what leaves it, and using masked or synthetic data in development. Your counsel decides the right route. We build the technical controls and sign the agreed terms.

Do you work with FCA-regulated firms?

We build software for regulated firms. Regulatory responsibility stays with the firm. We support your outsourcing and third-party risk process with documentation, access controls and audit logs, and we do not claim regulatory approvals or give regulatory advice.

Can you build for health sector suppliers?

Yes, for administrative and communication workflows. Suppliers to the NHS are typically asked about the Data Security and Protection Toolkit, DTAC and, for clinical software, clinical safety standards. We design to make those answers straightforward and claim no assessment on your behalf. Clinical decision tools need a clinical safety officer on your side.

Will the work be in UK English?

Yes. Assistants, interfaces, documentation and written updates use UK spelling and tone, and we test conversations with realistic UK phrasing, regional terms and both formal and informal registers.

Do you sign a data processing agreement?

Yes, before any personal data is shared. The terms are agreed with your counsel, including the route used for transfers to India, and the technical controls are described in the same document.

Can we meet in person?

Where a project calls for it, we will come to you for a discovery workshop in the UK. Day-to-day delivery runs over video, with a weekly demo at a fixed time in your afternoon or morning, as you prefer.
