AI development · DACH

AI engineering for the German-speaking Mittelstand.

Bvyte is an AI and software studio in Ahmedabad that delivers agents, document AI and software for manufacturers, suppliers and service firms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We deliver in English, build features that read and write German, and treat data protection and employee representation as design inputs, not afterthoughts.

Precision first, then automation

A DACH buyer does not ask whether the demo is impressive. The questions are about traceability: which document did this answer come from, who approved the change, where does the data sit and has the Betriebsrat been told. We build around those questions from the first sprint, so the system that reaches your plant or your back office is one your auditors, your works council and your engineers can all follow.

Overview

What a German-speaking buyer should expect from an Indian AI studio

Companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland tend to be cautious buyers for good reasons. Their products are physical, their liabilities are long and their processes are documented. An AI partner is judged on whether it respects that culture: formal scoping, traceable outputs, clear ownership and no surprises for the people whose jobs the system touches.

We work to that standard. Projects start with a written purpose and data inventory, add a German-language test set drawn from your own documents, and keep a reviewer in the loop wherever an error would cost money or safety. English is our working language, so contracts, status reports and documentation are in English, and the AI features we build read and write German. If a works council or a data protection officer needs to be consulted, we prepare the material for that conversation instead of leaving it to the end.

What we build

What German-speaking companies hire Bvyte to build

The services are the ones we run everywhere. For DACH clients the emphasis falls on technical documents, German-language quality and a paper trail that survives internal review.

  1. 01

    Engineering and technical documentation AI

Search and question answering over manuals, specifications, drawing notes, test reports and service bulletins, with a citation to the page for every answer. See document AI and automation.

  2. 02

    German-language assistants

Support and internal assistants that read and write German, tested on your own terminology, formal and informal address and the regional variants your customers use. See AI chatbot development.

  3. 03

    Order, quotation and supplier workflows

Incoming enquiries, purchase orders and delivery notes parsed into your ERP, with confidence scores and a review queue for anything unclear. See LLM and AI agent development.

  4. 04

    Works council ready design

Systems that touch employee data are scoped with a clear purpose, no hidden performance scoring and documentation you can place in front of a Betriebsrat or staff representatives.

  5. 05

    Data protection by design

Data maps and processing records prepared with the GDPR and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in mind, and the Swiss FADP for Swiss clients. Your counsel decides what applies to your case.

  6. 06

    Software delivery to your standards

Squads that work in your repositories, follow your review and release rules, and hand over documentation in English with German terms where your teams need them. See custom software and SaaS.

Process

How a project with a DACH company runs

Fixed fee per phase, a measured exit gate at the end of each, and working software from the first weeks. See every playbook week by week.

  1. 01

    Scope and stakeholders

Agree purpose, data, owners and who must be consulted, including the data protection officer and, where employees are affected, the works council.

    Week 1

  2. 02

    Document and language audit

Sample real documents and messages, build a German test set with your terminology and measure the baseline before any build starts.

    Weeks 1 to 2

  3. 03

Pilot on one line or department

A narrow release in one plant, team or product line, with weekly demos in the late morning or early afternoon, your time.

    Weeks 3 to 8

  4. 04

    Rollout and handover

Extend in steps, with runbooks, evaluation sets and training sessions so your own engineers can maintain the system.

    From week 9

Use cases

Where AI pays back in DACH companies

  • Machinery and component makers

Spare parts and service assistants that answer from manuals and service histories, in German and English, for technicians and distributors.

  • Automotive suppliers

Customer specification, change notice and quality report handling, with traceable extraction into PLM or ERP records.

  • Engineering and construction

Tender documents, site reports and standards searched and summarised so estimators spend time on judgement.

  • Insurance and banking

Claims and correspondence triage in German, with reviewer approval and audit logs, for teams under supervisory scrutiny.

  • Wholesale and distribution

Order intake from email and PDF, price list matching and customer self-service in German on web and messaging.

  • Professional services

Contract review support, knowledge search across past projects and drafting assistants that keep the source visible.

Why Bvyte

Why DACH teams work with a studio in Ahmedabad

See document AI with page-level citations
  • Citations and logs by default, so every answer and every action can be traced by an auditor or a sceptical engineer.
  • Honest about language: German features are built and tested with native-speaker reviewers from your team on your content, and we report where quality drops.
  • Works council and data protection questions are raised in week one, which keeps projects from stalling at the last gate.
  • Four hours of daily overlap in winter and three in summer is enough for a stand-up, a review and a decision.
  • You keep the keys: your cloud region, your repositories, your documentation, with English contracts and no lock-in.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Ask us directly, a senior engineer replies within one business day.

What is the time difference with Germany, Austria and Switzerland?

India Standard Time is 4.5 hours ahead of Central European Time and 3.5 hours ahead during European summer time. Your late morning is our afternoon, which gives a dependable shared window for stand-ups and reviews, and the rest runs on written handovers.

Do you work in German?

We deliver in English: contracts, meetings, documentation and code comments are in English. We do build AI features that read, write and speak German, with German test sets and native-speaker review of tone and terminology arranged with your team. If you need project management or workshops in German, tell us early so we can judge fit honestly.

How does the EU AI Act affect our project?

The Act applies obligations by risk class, and they phase in over several years. Most business assistants and document tools fall into lower-risk categories with transparency duties, while uses such as employment decisions can be high-risk. We classify the use case during scoping, design logging and human oversight accordingly, and ask your counsel to confirm the current dates and duties.

Does a works council need to be involved?

In Germany and Austria, works councils generally have co-determination rights over technical systems that can monitor employee behaviour or performance. If your AI touches staff data, even indirectly, we recommend consulting the Betriebsrat early. We help by writing a plain description of purpose, data and limits that you can use in that conversation.

Can data stay in Germany or the EU?

Yes. We build in your cloud account in a Frankfurt, Zurich or other EU or Swiss region that suits you, choose model providers whose processing location matches your policy, and give engineers only the access they need. Where personal data must be handled from India, the contractual route is agreed with your counsel.

Do you cover Swiss clients?

Yes. The revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) has similar aims to the GDPR but differs in detail, so we note both in the data map and let your counsel confirm obligations for Swiss entities.

Which industries in DACH do you see the most opportunity in?

Document-heavy industrial and service firms: machinery, automotive supply, engineering, insurance and wholesale. The common thread is large volumes of technical text and forms where a cited, reviewable answer saves skilled people hours.

Can you work under German or Swiss law?

We are open to governing law and venue clauses that your counsel proposes, subject to review on both sides. Contracts and project documents are in English.
