AI development · Netherlands
AI for Dutch logistics, agritech and fintech teams.
Bvyte is an AI and software studio in Ahmedabad that collaborates with product teams and operators in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. English is the working language, Dutch-language features are part of the toolkit, and the Dutch Data Protection Authority's expectations shape how we handle data from the first call.
Start a projectA trading nation's habits, applied to AI
Dutch companies move goods, money and information across borders every day, and they dislike waste. That is a good test for AI: does it remove a handoff, a re-keyed form or a late-night inbox, and can you show it on one lane before you scale it? We start with a single flow, prove it against your numbers and then widen it, in a culture that asks direct questions and expects direct answers.
Overview
Building AI for operations-led Dutch businesses
The Netherlands is a small country with an outsized role in how goods and money move through Europe. Its ports, airport, greenhouses and payments companies share a trait: many handoffs between many parties, most of them carried by documents and messages. That is exactly where applied AI helps first, by reading the messages, checking them against rules and passing clean data to the next system.
Our approach suits a pragmatic business culture. We pick one flow, measure it as it runs today, build a narrow solution and show the difference in your own numbers. English is the working language across the engagement, Dutch features are tested on your real content, and privacy documents are written for a data protection officer who will read them closely. Scaling follows evidence, not enthusiasm.
What we build
What Dutch and Benelux teams hire Bvyte to build
Our services stay the same across markets. Here they lean towards flow-heavy operations, scale-up product work and compact, well-documented systems.
-
01
Freight and port operations AI
Booking emails, customs documents, bills of lading and exception messages turned into structured events for your TMS or planning tool. See document AI and automation.
-
02
AI features for SaaS scale-ups
Assistants, semantic search and automation shipped into a live product, inside your sprint cadence, behind flags and with evaluation sets. See AI-driven software development.
-
03
Dutch and English customer assistants
Chat and email assistants that answer in Dutch or English, tested on regional phrasing and formal and informal address. See AI chatbot development.
-
04
Agents for finance and operations
Reconciliation, collections follow-up and supplier queries handled by scoped agents with approval steps. See LLM and AI agent development.
-
05
Privacy documentation your DPO can use
Processing records, data flow diagrams and retention rules drafted with the GDPR and the guidance of the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in mind. Your counsel confirms what applies.
-
06
Engineering capacity on demand
Senior engineers, two to four of them, join your team for a defined quarter, with code reviews and documentation in English. See custom software and SaaS.
Process
How we work with a Dutch team
Fixed fee per phase, a measured exit gate at the end of each, and working software from the first weeks. See every playbook week by week.
- 01
Direct kickoff
A working session with the people who own the process, not a slide deck, to pick one flow and the number that proves it.
Week 1
- 02
Baseline
Measure today's handling time, error rate and volume from real data so improvement can be shown without argument.
Weeks 1 to 2
- 03
Build in short loops
Weekly demos in your afternoon, working software every Friday and decisions recorded in the backlog.
Weeks 3 to 8
- 04
Scale and document
Widen to the next lane or country, with the runbook and tests that let your team carry on alone.

Fintech and payments
Onboarding document checks, dispute handling and support triage with reviewer sign-off and audit logs.
SaaS scale-ups
In-product assistants and internal support automation that grow with usage instead of headcount.
Wholesale and e-commerce
Catalogue enrichment, return handling and customer service across Dutch, English and neighbouring languages.
- English-first from the contract to the commit message, so no translation layer sits between your team and ours.
- Plain talk about trade-offs, including when an AI approach is not the right tool for a process.
- Flow thinking: we measure before and after on one lane and show the result before asking for a wider rollout.
- Privacy documents written for a DPO to read and challenge, not for a marketing page.
- A gap of 3.5 or 4.5 hours, depending on the season, is enough for a morning stand-up in Amsterdam and a decision by lunch.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Still unsure? Ask us directly, a senior engineer replies within one business day.
What overlap can Dutch teams expect?
The Netherlands is 4.5 hours behind India in winter and 3.5 hours behind in summer. We agree a block in your afternoon, usually after lunch, for demos and pairing, and rely on written handovers so your morning opens with finished work.
Which data protection rules should we plan for?
The GDPR applies, supervised in the Netherlands by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, which has also taken an interest in algorithms and AI. Belgium and Luxembourg have their own national authorities. We design for data minimisation, purpose limits and logging, and your counsel confirms the details for each entity.
Does the EU AI Act change what you build?
It changes what we document. We classify the use case, record the intended purpose, add human oversight where the risk justifies it and keep logs. Obligations phase in over time, and your counsel can confirm which dates apply to you.
Can you build Dutch-language features?
Yes. Current models handle Dutch well for most business tasks. We still test on your content, including Flemish usage for Belgian customers, and report accuracy separately in Dutch and English.
We are a scale-up with a small team. Is that a fit?
Often it is the best fit. A squad of two or three engineers can ship an AI feature while your own team stays on the core roadmap, and we work inside your repositories and review rules. Our fixed-fee phases suit companies that need cost certainty before a funding round.
Will you visit Amsterdam or Rotterdam?
An on-site discovery workshop is available if the scope justifies the trip. The rest of the work runs over video with a weekly demo.
Do you work with Belgian and Luxembourg companies too?
Yes. We cover Benelux clients with the same team, adding Flemish and French language testing where customers need it and noting each country's own data protection authority in the data map.
How quickly can a first pilot start?
Once scope and paperwork are agreed, a pilot team can usually start within two to three weeks. A first working version of a single flow typically follows within the first phase, measured against your baseline.
