AI development · Nordics
AI for Nordic energy, maritime and fintech teams.
Bvyte is an AI and software studio in Ahmedabad that works alongside companies in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. English is the shared working language, Nordic-language features are built and tested on your own content, and the work is planned for flat teams that expect clear scope, open documentation and honest status.
Start a projectHigh trust, high expectations
Nordic organisations tend to be digitally mature, consensus driven and wary of hype. People will read the documentation, ask the awkward question in the meeting and expect the vendor to have done the same. We suit that: small senior team, decisions written down, and a plain account of what the system can and cannot do before anyone relies on it.
Overview
What Nordic teams look for in an AI partner abroad
Nordic buyers are often more experienced with digital systems than their vendors, and they say so politely. They look for fewer promises and more detail: how will the model be evaluated, who can see the data, how will the team keep the system running, and what will it cost to change course. A partner who answers those clearly is trusted quickly, and one who talks in slogans is not.
We build engagements around that preference. The first weeks produce a written scope, an evaluation on your own documents in your own languages, and an architecture note that your engineers can challenge. Delivery then proceeds in short loops with users involved, and the final phase is pair work with your team so knowledge stays with you. For energy, maritime and fintech clients, the focus is on traceability, since reports and records are scrutinised by regulators, auditors and customers alike.
What we build
What Nordic teams hire Bvyte to build
Mature teams rarely need convincing about AI. They need engineering that fits existing platforms and holds up in review.
-
01
Energy and sustainability reporting
Extraction and reconciliation of supplier, emissions and asset data from reports and invoices into your reporting stack, with every figure linked back to its source. See document AI and automation.
-
02
Maritime and shipping documents
Charter parties, port call messages and certificates read and structured for operations teams, with exceptions escalated for review.
-
03
Agents that live inside your systems
Scoped agents for finance, procurement and service desks that call your existing APIs, with approvals and complete logs. See LLM and AI agent development.
-
04
Nordic-language assistants
Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish assistants for customers and staff, with Finnish treated as its own project given its distance from the other three. See AI chatbot development.
-
05
Public-sector supplier readiness
Documentation, accessibility and security notes that help you answer public tender requirements when AI is part of your offer.
-
06
Platform and integration engineering
Services and data pipelines built to your architecture and conventions, with tests and handover documents. See custom software and SaaS.
Process
How we work with Nordic teams
Fixed fee per phase, a measured exit gate at the end of each, and working software from the first weeks. See every playbook week by week.
- 01
Shared understanding
Workshops to agree goals and boundaries, with the outcome captured in a written scope that everyone can comment on.
Weeks 1 to 2
- 02
Evidence before build
Evaluate candidate models on your own documents and languages, and share results openly, including the weak spots.
Weeks 2 to 3
- 03
Iterate with the team
Short cycles with users in the room, and decisions logged where the whole team can see them.
Weeks 4 to 10
- 04
Embed and hand over
Pair with your engineers, leave behind documentation, and agree what ongoing support, if any, you want.
Final phase
Use cases
Nordic sectors we build AI for
Energy producers and utilities
Maintenance report analysis, grid and asset documentation search, and supplier invoice processing.
Shipping and offshore services
Voyage and port documents structured automatically, and assistants answering crew and ops questions from manuals.
Banks and fintech
Customer correspondence triage, document checks for onboarding and support assistants with clean human handover.
Sustainability and ESG teams
Evidence collection from suppliers, mapping to reporting frameworks and review queues for analysts.
Public-sector suppliers
Tender response drafting support and knowledge search across past submissions, with a reviewer for every output.
Retail and consumer brands
Customer service assistants in four languages and product content generation under brand control.
- Flat, direct collaboration: the people who build are the people on the call.
- Written scopes and open evaluation results, which suits consensus-led decision making.
- Language work done per language, including Finnish, instead of assuming one Nordic model fits all.
- The gap runs from 2.5 to 4.5 hours depending on country and season, with agreed handover notes.
- Documentation, tests and sustainable engineering habits that keep systems maintainable after we leave.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Still unsure? Ask us directly, a senior engineer replies within one business day.
What is the time difference with the Nordic countries?
India is 4.5 hours ahead of Sweden, Denmark and Norway in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer. Finland is one hour ahead of those, so India is 3.5 hours ahead in winter and 2.5 hours in summer. Daily overlap sits in your afternoon, and we confirm it again when clocks change.
How do GDPR and the AI Act apply across the Nordics?
The GDPR applies in Sweden, Denmark and Finland as EU members, and in Norway through the European Economic Area agreement. Each country has its own supervisory authority and some national rules. The EU AI Act applies in EU states and is expected to reach Norway through the EEA, with obligations phasing in over time. We design with these in mind, and your counsel confirms what applies to each entity.
Can you build features in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish?
Yes, with honesty about quality. Current models are strong in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian for most business tasks and somewhat weaker in Finnish for nuanced writing. We test each language on your content with native-speaker reviewers from your team and agree where a human check stays in the loop.
Do you have experience with public-sector buyers?
We can support suppliers who sell to public bodies by preparing security, privacy and accessibility documentation and design notes for tender responses. We do not claim certifications or framework agreements, and specific procurement rules are for your bid team and counsel.
Can we keep data in the Nordics?
Yes. Major cloud providers offer EU regions, and we build in your account with your chosen region, with engineers receiving only the access needed. If your sector or customer needs residency in a particular country, we plan the architecture around that from the start.
Can we meet in person?
Discovery workshops on site are available for projects that justify the journey. Most delivery runs by video, with weekly demos and a shared backlog.
Do you work with companies in Norway outside the EU?
Yes. Norwegian companies fall under the GDPR through the European Economic Area agreement, and we design on that basis, with your counsel confirming Norwegian specifics, including any sector rules.
Can you help with sustainability data and reporting?
We can build extraction and reconciliation tools that gather figures from supplier documents and link each one to its source. The reporting framework and the final judgement stay with your sustainability and finance teams.
