AI for Ghanaian mobile money, fintech and agriculture.

Bvyte is an AI and software studio in Ahmedabad; Accra is 5.5 hours behind us. We create assistants, document AI and software for Ghanaian fintechs, agribusinesses, logistics firms and enterprises, around mobile money, English and the Data Protection Act 2012.

From the farm gate to the wallet

Ghana's economy runs through two chains that look unrelated and often are not: crops moving from farms to buyers, and money moving through mobile wallets. A cocoa cooperative needs records and payments to line up. A fintech needs the same of its agents. We design for the point where goods, documents and payments meet, because that is where errors and delays pile up.

Overview

Connecting Ghana's farms, wallets and customer service with AI

Much of Ghana's economy depends on small producers selling through cooperatives and traders, with payment by mobile money. When records, deliveries and payments do not line up, the cost shows in delays, disputes and lost trust. Software that captures each step on a phone and checks it against the others reduces that friction more than any chatbot.

Our approach is to walk through a real transaction from the farm gate or shop counter to the wallet, and fix the biggest manual handoff first. AI comes in where it clearly helps: reading delivery and quality papers, answering questions in WhatsApp or by SMS, drafting follow-ups for agents. We design for older phones, weak signal and offline use, and handle data with the Data Protection Act 2012 in mind.

Process

How we start in Ghana

Fixed fee per phase, a measured exit gate at the end of each, and working software from the first weeks. See every playbook week by week.

  1. 01

    Week 1

  2. 02

    Channel decision

Choose between app, WhatsApp, USSD and SMS according to who the user is and what phone they hold.

    Week 2

  3. 03

Pilot with one cooperative or product

Launch with a small group, with agents or staff giving feedback every week.

    Weeks 3 to 8

  4. 04

Local detail

Ghana specifics we design around

  • Several mobile money networks

MTN, Telecel and AirtelTigo wallets are used side by side, so we reconcile payments across more than one provider and handle confirmations that arrive late or twice.

  • Ghana Card identity

The Ghana Card is the national ID. Where a flow needs identity checks, we design it around the card and around what your provider actually permits.

  • Cocoa season peaks

Volumes and cash needs swing with the main and light crop seasons, so collection and payment features are tested for the peak weeks, not an average month.

  • Twi, Ga and Ewe beside English

Customers mix English with local languages. We sample your real messages first and set expectations per language before promising automation.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Ask us directly, a senior engineer replies within one business day.

What is the time difference with Ghana?

India is 5.5 hours ahead of Ghana, which uses Greenwich Mean Time all year. The gap is constant. Your morning is our early afternoon, so calls fit comfortably in your day.

Which data protection law applies?

The Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) governs personal data and is overseen by the Data Protection Commission, which also handles registration of data controllers. We design with that Act in mind and suggest Ghanaian counsel confirm the specifics, including rules on transfers abroad.

Can you integrate with mobile money?

Through providers' official interfaces, yes. Access depends on onboarding with each provider or an aggregator. We design for failures, timeouts and duplicate confirmations.

Can field agents use the software on basic devices?

Yes. We design for mid-range and older Android phones, offline capture and low data use, and provide SMS or USSD routes for people without smartphones.

Which local languages are supported?

English is the main language of business and works well. Languages such as Twi are usable for some tasks but need careful testing, so we assess them on your content, report results honestly and keep a human fallback.

Do you visit Accra?

For bigger projects we can arrange a discovery visit to Accra. Delivery is otherwise remote.

Can the system support cocoa and other commodity traceability?

We can build records and document checks that support traceability, linking deliveries, grades and payments. Programme rules and certification requirements are set by your buyers and regulators, and we align the data model with them.

Do you work with microfinance and savings groups?

Yes. Member queries, loan paperwork and collections messaging are common starting points, with approvals and logs around anything that moves money.
